SRINAGAR: Police received various reports of burglary incidents in Beerwah area. Accordingly various cases were registered in Police Station Beerwah and the investigation was set into motion.
During the course of investigation, police zeroed upon one suspect namely Mushtaq Ahmad Shah, son of Sona-ul-lah, resident of Kanigund, Beerwah. The suspect on being questioning confessed his crime.
On his instance, gold ornaments worth Rs 3 lakh were recovered from his residential house at Kanigund Beerwah, which he had stolen from Chewdara and Ohengam against which cases stand already registered in Police Station Beerwah on December 11, 2016 and March 3, 2017. Further investigation of the case going on and more recoveries are expected.
