Dear Editor,
The following point throws new light on Buddha’s travel to Haryana: “Buddha and Ananda his disciple travelled through Haryana several times via the ancient trade route of Mathura-Texila that went up to Gandhara.” Clearly, Buddha and Ananda passed through Punjab many times on their way to Gandhara. The Punjab Government should make arrangements for research on the subject so that we gain more knowledge on Buddhism in Punjab in those days.
