JAMMU: The annual pilgrimage to Holy Shrine of Buddha Amarnath in Mandi hills of the border district of Poonch will commence from 8th August, 2016.
The first batch of pilgrims will leave for Poonch on 9th August, National Chief of Baba Budhha Amarnath Yatra and Pradesh Bajrang Dal Convener, Neeraj Dhinoria, told reporters here on Wednesday. Chhari Mubarak, the Holy Mace of Lord Shiva, will be taken towards Shrine in Mandi Tehsil of Poonch District on 17th August and it will perform Darshan next day on Sawan Purnima falling of 18th August. He said the pilgrimage is run by Bajrang Dal and it was started in the year 2005. For last 11 years Bajrang Dal is successfully running this Yartra.
