Prime Minister Narendra Modi has spelled out the right policy to have dialogue with all the parties to bring peace and harmony in Kashmir. Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti has also made an appeal to all the belligerent groups to desist from resorting to violence which has caused great harm and damage to the life, property and economy of the State.
However, every effort must be done within the constitutional frame work, in a democratic manner. As the curfew has been removed, all parties must work for normalcy and peace in the valley. It is the right time to adopt former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee’s gospel of peace, but not at the cost of danger to the security forces. Let us hope that the Modi mantra will prove to be effective.
