JAMMU: The two-and-half-year spell of BJP Government headed by Prime Minister Narendra Modi is better than the six decades of Congress reign, asserted the newly appointed Administrator of Lakshadweep, Farooq Khan in Jammu on Monday.
“The Modi-led government despite criticism from the opposition is striding firmly towards its goal and will soon bring the much desired change in the development scenario of the country”, the police officer turned politician said and added that whatsoever has been avowed by the Modi government shall soon be realised as major projects and schemes meant for changing developmental profile of India are shortly being set into motion.
Claiming that Modi-led dispensation has successfully ushered an era of glory and fame in India, Farooq Khan said that today’s progress is only comparable to historical golden era of emperor Ashoka.
He slammed Congress for always relying on policy of divide and rule to rein in people. Farooq Khan said that since his youth, he was tilted towards the ideology of sheer nationalism which is also the core agenda of BJP. “My inclination towards nation’s cause has helped me a lot in fighting terrorism in the Kashmir Valley”, he added. He laid stress on maintaining connection with society while in job or politics. “One cannot perform well until he or she has a good connect with people around”, he maintained.
He also hailed Narendra Modi on his stance on vacating PoK from the illegal occupation of Pakistan. He said that people of Balochistan are fighting for their rights since many years and Prime Minister has recently helped to upbeat their resolution by assuring support.
