KATRA: A 20-year-old youth and a teenager girl were on Friday found hanging in a room of a guest house in Katra, the base camp of Vaishno Devi shrine in Reasi distyrict.
Police said the duo hailed from Gujarat and have been identified as Chintan, 20 and Janvi, 16.
“They were found hanging from a ceiling fan in a room of Vishwa Guest House in Katra town,” Reasi SSP Tahir Ahmed Bhat said.
The room was locked from inside. Police reached the spot upon information broke open the room, he said. FIR has been registered and investigation is underway, Bhat said.
