RAMBAN: Police on Thursday arrested a bootlegger and recovered 40 pouches of liquor from his possession.
According to a report, a police party lead by SHO Banihal Afzal Wani conducted a routine checking and during the checking one person namely Mohammad Rafiq Sheikh son of Abdul Aziz Sheikh resident of Nai Basti Ramban was stopped for checking. During his personal search, police seized 40 pouches of illicit liquor from his possession. The accused was arrested and a case vide FIR No 30/2017 under section 48 (A) Excise Act was registered in Police Station Banihal.
