KATRA: Police on Wednesday arrested a bootlegger and recovered 40 pouches of liquor from his possession.
According to a report, a police party led by Sub Inspector Vikas Jasrotia, In-Charge Police Post Banganga acting on a specific information laid a Naka at Banganga Road Katra. During checking, police recovered 40 pouches of J and K Excise liquor from the possession of Ashok Kumar son of Shiv Nath resident of Sangoor, Railway Road Udhampur Tehsil and district Udhampur. The accused person was arrested and recovered pouches have been seized. A case vide FIR No.157/2016 under section 48-A Excise Act, 188/RPC was registered at Police Station Katra against the accused person
