UDHAMPUR: Police on Thursday solved a blind murder case and arrested the accused.
As per details, On July 21, 2024 an information was received at PS Chenani that one male dead body was lying in the MandoBan area of Nagulta under the jurisdiction of PS Chenani. Later the body was identified as that of Liaqat Ali S/O Musa Khan R/O Narsoo, Udhampur
On this inquest proceeding U/S 194 BNSS was initiated Vide DDR.No. 08 dated 21-07-2024 in Police Station Chenani.
During the course of enquiry, police team of Police Station Chenani headed by its SHO Insp. Pushpinder Singh under the supervision of SDPO Chenani Tahir Sheikh Amin detained some suspects and during the sustained questioning, one of them namely Balwinder Singh, son of Attar Singh, resident of Chirdi, Tehsil Chenani confessed that he had murdered the deceased over some dispute on money.
The inquest proceeding was converted into murder and a case FIR No. 123/2024 U/S 103 BNS stands registered in PS Chenani. The accused person has also been arrested and further investigation of the case is underway.
