SRINAGAR: BJP on Sunday said that the party is awaiting the decision from the central leadership about contesting by-polls to two Parliamentary seats in Kashmir valley.
According to a Srinagar based news agency, BJP State General Secretary (Org) Ashok Kaul said that the state leadership has given its suggestions to National General Secretary, BJP Ram Madhav yesterday in Jammu.
“We have not decided yet whether to field our candidates or support PDP candidates. Party’s President Amit Shah will take a final decision on the matter,” Koul is reported to have told the agency.
He said that Madhav will meet Amit Shah to convey to him the state leadership’s suggestions. “Amit Shah will take the final decision, which will be conveyed to us tomorrow. By Monday evening, things will be clear,” he said.
