KATHUA: Decrying BJP leaders for complete surrender before PDP to satiate their lust for power, Senior Congress leader, former Minister and General Secretary PCC Dr Manohar Lal Sharma on Monday said that BJP leaders are behaving like puppet of PDP and have shamefully sold out Jammu Province’s interests while toeing the line of PDP’s anti-national agenda. Manohar in a scathing attack against Saffron brigade said the fact that BJP leadership especially its Deputy Chief Minister Dr Nirmal Singh, in sheer over-enthusiasm to prove loyalty to Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti has put on stake the interests of people of Jammu by not paying heed on issues including withdrawal of VAT levied on the heli-tickets, full fledge AIIMS for Jammu, commissioning of Medical Colleges at Kathua and Doda, and issue of closure of large number of primary and middle schools in this part of the State. He alleged that to divert the focus of people hailing from Jammu, BJP is swaying them by raising hollow slogans and highlighting trivial matters whereas most significant issues including scarcity of water, power supply, etc which the people here are confronting with are not being mentioned by any of its ambassadors which never get tired of boasting its achievements in public and private functions.
During Manohar’s recent visit to the different villages of Billawar namely Billawar town, Tilla , Thara Kalyal, Ramkot, Makwal, Galak , Ladoli and Garnadi, the people from all walks of life apprised him about the failure of government in providing basic amenities to people. They especially mentioned about poor services provided by PDD, PHE, education and health departments.
A deputation of Village Samar in Panchayat Dharalta zone Billawar apprised Mano-har about the acute shortage of staff at Middle School Samar, High School Danjastar and Primary School Piari zone Barnoti village Juthana. Citing bulk transfers in PDD, revenue , forest, medical and education departments, Manohar slam-med BJP partnered Governm-ent for remaining unconcerned towards the disturbing situation in Valley which has lead to large scale death and destruction. He alleged that paying no heed to woes of affected people, the BJP leadership is busy in flourishing its transfer industry and minting extra money through executing transfers of elite and blue-eyed.
