BJP celebrates 133rd Birth Anniversary of Pt. Premnath Dogra

JAMMU: On the occasion of 133th Birth Anniversary of Pt. Premnath Dogra, the State BJP led by State President and MLA Sat Sharma organized a colorful pogramme under his statue at Dogra Chowk. It commenced with performing of Hawan, followed by garlanding of the statue and felicitation of outstanding sportspersons of Jammu at the venue.
Sat Sharma, while paying tributes, said that Pt. Premnath Dogra was an institution in himself, who, with his vision and able leadership successfully led the historic ‘Ek Vidhan, Ek Nishan, Ek Pradhan’ agitation of 1953.
State General Secretary (Org.) Ashok Kaul, said that the personality, dedication towards the national cause and zero compromise on basic principles earned the distinction for him being called Sher-e-Duggar.
MoS Education Priya Sethi said that the contribution of Panditji has been splendid in leading the agitation which set examples to be followed by generations to come.
MLC Ashok Khajuria and MLC Charanjit Singh Khalsa also paid tributes to Pt Premnath Dogra.
Sat Sharma and other senior leaders of the party also felicitated outstanding international and national level sports persons hailing from Jammu which included Pawan Sharma, Manju Sahni, Bhanu Partap and Govind Sareen.
