MENDHAR: Block Development Officer (BDO) Mendhar Tariq Khan who is busy these days in creating awareness among villagers about Swachh Bharat to achieve Open Defecation Free (ODF) targets but the toilet lavatory of his office falsifies his whole drive in this regard.
Locals including Ankush Sharma, Gulshan Sharma, Prashant Sharma, Mohd Abib Ullah, Mohd Qyoom, Haji Bashir and others pointed out that the toilet of BDO office stinks and people pass through the lane holding their noses. Insanitation galore there as the officials concerned did not bother to remove the corpse of a dog lying there for quite sometime emanating foul smell” they said. The locals complained to the BDO for bad smell but there was no action in this regard.
People said that if BDO is not disturbed with this smell, at least he should not create disturbance for the public due to the stinking smell of his toilet.
