JAMMU: The State men and women basketball teams on Wednesday left for participating in the 66th Senior National Basketball Championship being organised by the Basketball Federation of India at Mysore in Karnataka.
Earlier, the teams underwent a 15-day coaching camp at MA Stadium. It was followed by the screening of the teams by State Sports Council. Ashok Singh, Treasurer Jammu and Kashmir Basketball Association (JKBA) and Kuljit Singh, Associate Secretary were among those present during the screening.
The Teams:
MEN: Harpreet Singh (Captain), Iqbal Singh, Sumeet Kumar (J and K Police), Ranbir Singh, Shubham Sharma, Amanjot Singh, Rohan Kundal, Jaskirat Singh, Aviral Singh, Shubham Bhardwaj (SAI Training Centre), Salinder Singh (Samba) and Aukif Khan (Srinagar).
WOMEN: Amarpreet Kour (Captain), Ankita Singh, Radhika Choudhary, Sneha Choudhary, Lakshmi, Amrit Kour, Pratibha Tagotra, Harshita Gupta, Sonia Sharma, Diksha Gupta, Abhileen Kour and Kanupriya Dubey.
Amarjit Singh, Aman Sharma and Rohit Chhiber are accompanying the teams as coaches, while Manjit Kour shall be the lady manager.
