JAMMU: First Additional Sessions Judge Jammu Mohammad Akram Chowdhary rejected the bail application of one Parveen Sharma, son of Mohan Lal Sharma resident of Trikuta Nagar in NDPS Act.
While rejecting the bail application, 1st Additional Sessions Judge Jammu Mohd Akram Chowdhary after hearing APP Ajay Singh Manhas appearing for the State while D.S Saini appearing for the applicant observed that on 4th December, 2016, a team of Police Station Bahu Fort Jammu , while performing checking duty at Naka point near Sector -2 Trikuta Nagar Jammu, gave signal to a white coloured I-10 car without number plate coming from Sector -1 Trikuta Nagar, whose driver on seeing Naka police tried to flee.
“However, he was apprehended by the police and on inquiry he disclosed his name as Parveen Kumar Sharma, applicant herein. During checking, police recovered and seized 170 bottles of Corex and registered a case”, court observed adding that the epidemic of drugs in young generation has assumed alarming dimensions in India. Drug Abuse has became a major problem of the society over the years. With these observations court rejected bail application.
