JAMMU: Leader of Opposition in Rajya Sabha, Ghulam Nabi Azad condemned the dastardly and gruesome terror attack that has been carried out by Pakistan backed terrorists at Pathankot Air Base in Punjab.
Coming down heavily on Pakistan and its terror sponsoring network, Azad said that such dastardly acts are not going to cow us down or shake our resolve as a nation to combat and counter the evil designs of terror spreading networks.
“It’s a cowardly act of enemies of peace and humanity which are aided and abetted from the soil of Pakistan, and our security forces are capable enough to respond adequately and appropriately”, said Azad.
Offering deep and heartfelt condolences to the families of the martyred soldiers, Azad said “As the nation mourns the martyrdom of the brave soldiers who sacrificed their lives for the sake of nation, I stand in solidarity with the bereaved families in their hour of grief”.
Azad conveyed deep sympathies with those who got injured in the gruesome terror attack and prayed for their speedy and full recovery.
Azad further said that though the time is not opportune to comment on the flip-flops and weak kneed Pakistan policy of the NDA Government, as our security forces are battling the terrorist assault at Pathankot Air Base launched by anti-India forces from across the border, there remains a dire need to revisit the wishy-washy and consistently-inconsistent Pakistan policy being pursued by NDA Government.
Meanwhile, Vice Chairman J&K Kissan Khet Mazdoor Congress, Bharat Priye condemned the terror attack at Pathankot.
He said that the Home Minister should resign as the NDA Government is not able to tackle militancy activities in India. He also showed his concern over the rising of ISIS activities in the country in general and Kashmir in particular. He emphasized that the Modi Government has failed on his agenda as what he said before elections that he will not indulge in any dialogue with Pakistan if they support militant activities. He also showed his sympathy with the martyrs’ families.
