JKNPP shall involve stakeholders in ‘Fight for Jammu’ mission

JAMMU: Disseminating the ideology of the Panthers Party, Harsh Dev Singh Chairman JKNPP along with other leaders interacted and discussed various Jammu related issues with the representatives of several social organisations (Sabhas), associations, lawyer and intellectual forums who were invited at the Party Headquarters in Jammu on Sunday.
The representatives hailed from Mahajan Sabha, Brahmin Sabha, Rajput Sabha, Khatri Sabha, Kashmiri Pandit Sabha, Bhagat Sabha, Mahasha Sadar Sabha, All Jammu Hotels and Lodges Association (AJHLA), Jammu Province People’s Forum (JPPF), Dogra Kranti Dal (DKD), Jammu Pradesh United Front (JPUF), AJPSA besides Traders and Transporters Associations.
Interacting with the gathering, Harsh Dev Singh, convener of the joint meeting, said that the BJP which had received an overwhelming mandate from the people of Jammu region in the Assembly elections has brazenly retreated from all its grandiloquent promises made to the electorate before its coalition partner just for playing a second fiddle in the PDP led government for the lust of power.
Singh disclosed that the frequent ‘Jammu Bandhs’ last year only reflected the seething anger among the betrayed people of Jammu region because of Saffron Party’s pusillanimous surrenders on the issues of delimitation of Assembly constituencies, New Recruitment policy, artificial lake project of Jammu including beautification of river Tawi , State Subject for West Pak Refugees, voting rights to them in Assembly and local bodies polls, State Government jobs for such WPRs, adequate one time settlement package to the POJK refugees, provision of five Assembly seats for POJK refugees and 3 seats for Kashmir migrants, issuance of Dogra Certificate to Jammu youth, State Subject for children of daughters of J and K married outside, empowerment of Jammu, abolition of Custodian Department and conferment of ownership rights to its occupants, gainful employment for educated unemployment youth, development of Jammu tourism including gandola projects for Mubarak Mandi and Patnitop, development of Mantalai, Sudh Mahadev as destinations of religious pilgrimage, development of Mansar, Surinsar and Sanasar Lakes, construction of fly-overs in Jammu, regularisation of services of daily wagers, contractual, adhoc and need based employees working in various government departments including ReT teachers, NYC volunteers, SPOs , Safai Karamcharies, Anganwadi and Asha workers. He regretted that the BJP’s pre-poll promises turned into mere hyperboles and rhetorics thus belying all the hopes and aspirations of the Jammu people. He made a fervent appeal to the invitees to join hands to give a united fight to the anti-Jammu policies of the Kashmir centric leadership which was hell bent upon subjugating the Jammu region and robbing it of its due share.
The representatives of various organisations, associations, lawyer and intellectual forums fully endorsed the proposals and assured positive cooperation and support for the cause of Jammu region which had been persistently facing the wrath of socio-political bias in all the spheres. Those who spoke on the occasion included S.P Langer, Inderjeet Khajuria, Narayan Singh, K.K Khosa, Sardar Hukumat Singh, Pawan Gupta, Kamal Gupta, Gaurav Arora, Advocate Balwan Singh, Advocate Ajmer Singh, Advocate Mangat Ram, Advocate Shaqar Hussain, Advocate Sunil Sharma, Retd. Judge Rajesh Kohli, Advocate Vikrant Sharma, Advocate Rajiv Sharma, Advocate Gurdev Singh, H.S Manhas, Deepak Basak, Gurdev Singh, Advocate Parveen Kesar, N.P Singh, Babu Ram, Mohammad Lateef and Des Raj besides others.
