REASI: Directorate of Indian Systems of Medicine organised a one day free Mega AYUSH camp at Panchayat Ghar Talwara on Sunday. Such camps are being regularly organised by the Directorate of ISM in order to take Ayurveda, Yoga and Naturopaty, Unani, Siddha and Homeopathy, (AYUSH) health care systems to every household and every village. On the directions of Dr. Abdul Kabir Dar, Director General, ISM, the camp was organised and supervised by Dr. Rohit Gupta, Nodal Officer, ISM, Reasi and Divisional Nodal Officer, IEC activities Jammu Province. Dr. Rohit Gupta, along with Dr. Aftab Mir, Research Officer, J and K State Medicinal Plant Board, inaugurated the mega camp in presence of Gram Panchayat functionaries.
The medical team comprising Dr.Ranju, Dr. Arun Gupta, Raman Kumar and Subash Chander, treated 382 patients in all and distributed free AYUSH medicines to the patients. Team of doctors gave valuable information to the villagers about healthy life style and various easy home remedies for common illnesses.
