Ayurvedic Hospital, IDA organise free medical camp

JAMMU: Under the directions of Director General Indian Systems of Medicine J&K, Dr Abdul Kabir Dar, a free Ayurvedic medical camp was organised on the occasion of Parkash Utsav of Sri Guru Nanak Dev Ji in collaboration with Health Employees Welfare Association at Gurudwara Guru Nanak Dev Ji Chand Nagar Jammu.
In the camp, 2,350 patients took the benefit of free medical camp. In this camp experts from Ayurved, Yog from Government Ayurvedic Hospital Jammu rendered there services. Free medicines were distributed on the occasion. In diabetes screening camp, the blood was tested of 500 people during the camp.
The camp was inaugurated by President J&K State Gurudwara Prabandak Committee, Tarlochan Singh Wazir, who appreciated the efforts of Government Ayurvedic Hospital Jammu under the leadership of Dr. Taran Singh Medical Superintendent for organising such huge camp every year for the benefit of devotees and providing free Ayurvedic medicines.
Dr. Gurjit Singh Director Health Services Jammu in his message extended his full support for the cause of patient care.
Speaking on the occasion Dr. Taran Singh Medical Superintendent of Government Ayurvedic Hospital Jammu said that under the leadership of Minister for Health, Bali Bhagat, Government Ayurvedic Hospital Jammu intended to take many steps to provide specialized treatment for life style disease, metabolic disorders and many other ailments such as piles, fistulas, fissures, spondilities, stress related disorders through Panchakarma and Ksharsutra techniques.
Those who supported to organize the camp include Dr. Shahid Mughal Former Dy. Director Health, Attar Singh Ex Member DGPC, Ravinder Singh Rozy President HEWA, Bikram Singh Vice President, Dr. Manjit Singh, Pritpal Singh, Gurdev Singh, Kulwant Singh, Dalvinder Singh, Daminder Singh, Raman Anand, Rakesh Khajuria, Sudama Sharma and R.P Singh.
Doctors, paramedical staff and interns those extended their services during the camp include Dr. Bipan Chander (MD), Dr Deepa Kachroo MD, Dr Sonika Gupta, Dr Payal Verma, Dr. Shivani Beloria, Dr. Priyadarshni Koul, Dr. Kajal, Dr. Sunny Bhat, Dr. Shabnam Gupta, Dr. Arushi Sharma, Dr. Kheema Gupta, Dr. Mamta Pandey, Dr. Shivani Koul, Ravinder Singh (Pharmacist), Mohinder Singh (Pharmacist) Ichhpal Singh, Swarn Singh, Rajinder Kumar, Mangal Singh and Ravel Chand.
Meanwhile, Indian Dental Association (IDA) Jammu and Colgate India organised free dental check-up camps throughout Jammu province to mark the occasion of Guru Nanak Dev Ji’s birthday.
The function was organised at Dr Opinder Singh’s Nazki Dental Clinic at Preet Nagar Jammu where senior journalist S.P Sharma inaugurated a day long free oral check-up camp. Sharma distributed free Colgate toothpastes and toothbrushes amongst the visitors of the camp.
Dr Opinder Singh said that organising dental camp on Guruparv and various other festivals is a regular and perpetual feature of Nazki Dental Clinic where Dr Nimrat Kaur examined more than 70 patients today’s event. Sumeet Gandotra from Colgate was also present on the occasion and provided Colgate samples among the patients free of costs.
