RAJOURI: Army conducted an awareness drive on ‘Prevention Measures During Earthquake’ at Darhal in Rajouri District on Friday. The locals, school children and prominent members of the society attended the lecture. The drive was to spread awareness among the villagers about the prevention measures to be taken during earthquake.
During the lecture, the locals were briefed about managing cases of fractures and control bleeding in case of accidents due to a earthquake. People were taught about first aid measures to be adopted in such circumstances and thereby save life and limbs. Mock practice on immediate actions that can be resorted to in the event of an earth quake was conducted to provide practical training to the participants. This initiative was greatly appreciated by the locals and they expressed their gratitude for the knowledge imparted to them.
