JAMMU: An awareness camp was organized on GST at Mishriwala under the chairmanship of Mohammad Alyas Khan, Sub Divisional Magistrate, Jammu North. The camp was held for creating awareness among the local businessmen about the GST regime.
A large number of local traders, businessmen etc. participated in the camp. Sub Divisional Magistrate, Jammu North also given a brief about the initiatives taken by the district administration about creating awareness among the trading community about GST. Many businessmen volunteered to register their business units/ firms under GST.
Commercial Taxation Officers, Sunil Dutt, Bhupinder Singh Chib, Rahul Sharma and Inspector Chander Badan answered various queries put forth by the traders on the spot.
The traders thanked the district administration for organising of awareness camps about GST and made requests to organise such more camps in future as such camps are essentially required to clear various confusions/ misunderstandings among the trading community.
