Arya of J&K slams consecutive 50s at Pondicherry

JAMMU: Representing NCA Team-B, J&K’s explosive Under-19 opening batsman, Arya Suvansh Thakur slammed two back to back half-centuries in the ongoing matches being conducted by National Cricket Academy (NCA) at Pondicherry.
As per the reports reaching here, Arya made 55 runs off 57 balls, studded with five boundaries and two sixes against NCA Team-A, guiding his side to convincing victory.
In another match against NCA Team-E, Arya’s power-packed 85 runs off 90 balls, including four sixes, went in vain after his team lost the match. Arya’s NCA Team-B will take on Team- C in the next match to be played tomorrow.
Meanwhile, another cricketer from Jammu and Kashmir, Mohd Manzir, who is part of these matches, got the opportunity of playing only one match to score 38 runs. Arya attributed his success to JKCA for patting and promoting him while JKCA congratulated the ace cricketer for this achievement.
