Army organises free medical camp

BHADARWAH: The 4 Rashtriya Rifles located at Bhadarwah under the aegis of the Counter Insurgency Force (Delta) organised a free medical camp as part of humanitarian assistance programme under Operation Sadhbhavana activities at Hanga village of Bhadarwah . MLA Bhadarwah M.S Naiz was the Chief Guest on the occasion who himself was checked by a team of doctors on the occasion .
A medical team consisting of one medical officer from army and Dr Sandeep, from PHC, Chinta provided the much needed medical cover to the women, children and elderly people during the camp.
A large number of patients turned up for the free medical check-up. This medical camp was organised by making necessary arrangements of various types of medicines, medical equipment and facilities for examination of patients. Wide publicity was given to ensure that maximum people avail the opportunity of attending the free medical camp.
During the camp a total of 274 patients were treated which included 122 ladies, 86 gents and 66 children. The local population and district administration were grateful to the army for their concerted efforts and assistance in providing free medical aid at their door step. Army also distributed free medicines, health, nutrition and child care pamphlets to the parents and elder citizens in order to spread medical awareness amongst the local populace.
