POONCH : Commander Poonch Brigade on Sunday, distributed 10 solar lights in village Bandi Chechian, Tehsil Haveli, district Poonch.
It was an effort towards upliftment of the living standards and to provide basic amenities to village located in remote location. Village Bandi Chechian is located in a remote area and there is an acute problem of electricity in this village, Banwat Battalion initiated steps to provide solar lights to the villagers. Provision of solar lights will not only lift the living standard of the villagers it will also assist the children in their studies thus providing them brighter future.
There was an overwhelming response by the villagers who appreciated the efforts of Poonch Brigade and the role of the Indian Army in uplifting the living standards of the locals.
