Anirudh Singh wins President’s Gold Medal in NDA

JAMMU: The son of soil, Anirudh Singh brought laurels to J&K Union Territory by winning prestigious President’s Gold Medal at National Defence Academy (NDA), during passing-out parade of 139th Course, which was conducted at Khetarpal Parade Ground, NDA, Khadakwasla on Saturday.
Battalion Cadet Captain Anirudh Singh, son of Ashok Singh and Samirit Pathania, resident of Karan Nagar, Kathua was awarded President’s Gold Medal for standing first in overall order of merit.
Meanwhile, Battalion Cadet Adjutant Dhananjay Jasrotia, son of Joginder Singh Jasrotia and Nidhi Andotra, resident of VPO Barwal Kathua bagged the Commandant’s Silver Medal and Chief of Air Staff (CAS) Trophy for standing first in Arts Stream.

Anirudh Singh is an alumnus of RIMC Dehradun while Dhananjay Jasrotia had completed his studies from Sainik School Nagrota.
Pertinent to mention here that the Chief of Air Staff (CAS) Air Chief Marshal Rakesh Kumar Singh Bhadauria, PVSM, AVSM, VM, ADC reviewed the passing-out parade. The CAS has also served as Commandant NDA from Aug 2014-Jan 2015. The conduct of Parade was suitably modified so as to ensure COVID-19 related precautions and thus parents could not be invited for ceremony. A total of 217 cadets were passed-out comprising 49 cadets in science stream, 113 cadets in computer science stream and 55 cadets in arts stream. 12 cadets from friendly foreign countries were also awarded degrees.
