Work paralysed in Govt treasuries as clerical cadre strike enters day 9

JAMMU: The work remained paralyzed in all the government treasuries across the State as the pen down strike launched by the clerical cadre on Tuesday entered ninth day.
Employees staged protest against the government at treasuries and various office complexes on the call given by the Coordination Committee of Jammu, Kashmir and Ladakh All Departments Clerical Staff Association.
In Jammu city, protest was held at Saddar Treasury wherein the employees from various departments including Jammu Municipal Corporation employees participated and raised slogans in support of their demands.
The Coordination Committee led by Babu Hussain Malik, Ravi Singh Bhau, Anil Mehta, Ashish Sharma, Bharat Bushan, Gurmeet Singh, Ashok Singh, Yash Paul Sharma, Bharat Bushan Kotwal, Meenakshi Sharma, Mohammad Saleem, Munish Kumar Mohd Latief, Onkar Verma, Arun Sharma, Harvinder Singh, Rohit George, Ansuya Gupta, Umar Jan, Sewa Ram Rathore, Kuldeep Kotwal, Yash Sharma, Kirpal Singh, Vikas Chander, Mukhtiyar Singh, Gurjeet Singh, Mohammad Sadiq, Naresh Sharma, Om Parkash, Sandeep Singh, Shamsher Singh, Darshan Angurana, Sham Lal, Ali Mohammad Uday Singh Pathania, Vijay Kumar, Mangal Singh, Madam Anu Raina and Sharda visited several office complexes in Jammu Province and raised slogans against the government’s callous attitude towards clerical cadre.
The employees rejected with one voice the announcement of Finance Minister regarding formation of Pay Anomaly Committee and said that the government should immediately issue order for removal of pay anomalies of clerical cadre, otherwise the clerical cadre is ready for decisive struggle.
The leaders warned the government to shun the path of confrontation and issue orders for removal of Pay Anomalies of 5th Pay Commission while granting the pay scale of Rs 4,000-6,000 to Junior Assistant, Rs 4,500-7,000 to Senior Assistant, and Rs 5,500-9,000 to Head Assistant.
The association appealed to the clerical cadre to observe complete Kaam Choro Hartal upto May 8, 2018.
