Two bootleggers held, liquor recovered

JAMMU: Police on Friday arrested two bootleggers and recovered 36 pouches of liquor from their possession.
According to report, a party of Police Station Domana headed by SHO, Inspector Rattan Singh during a Naka at Punnu Di Hatti intercepted one person namely Ramesh Lal, son of Durga Dass, resident of Gajansoo.
During checking, police recovered 30 pouches of liquor from his possession which he was carrying to earn illegitimate profit by selling the same in the area.
In this connection, case FIR No 366/2017 under Section 48-F Excise Act was registered at Police Station Domana.
The arrest and recovery was made under the supervision of SDPO Domana, Varinder Singh and SP Rural, Shivdeep Singh.
Similarly, a party of Police Post Sidhra headed by In-charge, SI Tariq Ahmed conducted a raid in the shop of one Moti Lal, son of Amar Nath, resident of Bajalta. During search, police recovered six pouches of liquor from his shop. Police arrested the aforesaid accused on the spot.
In this regard, case FIR No 258/2017 under Section 48-F Excise Act was registered at Police Station Nagrota.
The arrest and recovery was made under the supervision SDPO Nagrota, Yashbir Singh Salathia and SP Rural, Shivdeep Singh.
