Taransh of DPS Jammu bags third rank in National-level VVM exam 2021-22

JAMMU: Taransh Mahajan, a student of class VII-E of Delhi Public School (DPS) Jammu added another feather in the cap by becoming the first ever national winner (Himalayan) from the UT of J&K in the coveted National Level Vidyarthi Vigyan Manthan (VVM) Exam 2021-22.
He was ranked 3rd in National Level Exam which was conducted by Vijnana Bharti (VIBHA) in collaboration with Vigyan Prasar, an autonomous organization under the Department of Science and Technology, Govt. of India on 28th & 29th May, 2022 held at Indian Institute of Technology (BHU), Varanasi.
Earlier, Taransh had excelled at the three levels viz; School, District and State Level Exam by bagging the 1st rank in all of them.
He has also received a memento, participation certificate and a cash prize of Rs. 10,000.
Further, he will also be given an opportunity to interact with the renowned scientists of the country and an internship in Centres of repute like National Science Laboratories, Defence Research & Development Organization, Indian Space Research Organization, etc. for 3 weeks along with a Bhaskara Scholarship of Rs. 2,000 per month for a year.
Principal DPS Jammu, Ruchi Chabra congratulated Taransh and his proud parents for the glorious achievement and bringing laurels to the school as well as the U.T of J&K. Headmistress, Meenu Gupta also lauded him.
President RCT, Ajatshatru Singh, Pro VC, Ritu Singh and Director, S.S Sodhi appreciated the glorious achievement and extended their best wishes to Taransh and his parents.
