PULWAMA: Pulwama District Volleyball Championship, organised by District Pulwama Volleyball Association under the aegis of Volleyball Association of Jammu and Kashmir in collaboration with Jammu and Kashmir Sports Council, commenced at Hajahad Public Higher Secondary School Ground, Awantipora, here on Wednesday. The tournament, in which 12 teams including four girls teams are participating, was inaugurated by the Chief Guest, Mumtaz, DySP Awantipora. Others present were Organizing Secretary Mudasir Ahmad Dar and staff members of host school. The opening match in boys section was won by Tral Warriors be defeating Dangerpora XI by 3-0 (25-20, 25-10, 25/15) while Awantipora beat Tral by 3-0 (25-15, 25-21, 25-11) in girls section.
