JAMMU: Congratulating both BJP and PDP for aligning to form Government, Kuldeep Kumar Rao, a member of Movement for Peace, Equality and Justice (MPEJ) on Friday termed the Government formation as historic opportunity to fulfill the aspirations of the people of all the regions of the State.
“Mehbooba as the maiden Chief Minister of the State shall have to prove her mettle by focusing on the issues and problems faced by neglected, ignored and discriminated far-off hamlets of the State.
Maintaining parity and ensuring equitable development in all the three regions of the State is the challenge which she will have to face”, he said and added that it is a fair chance for both BJP and PDP to establish their credentials as political outfits that care for the welfare of all, irrespective of caste, colour or religion. Taming corruption shall also be the prime challenge the BJP-PDP Government will be facing in the coming days. He urged Mehbooba Mufti to rejuvenate State Account-ability Commission by restoring all the powers enacted under the J&K State Accountability Commission Act of 2002.
