No Diwali celebrations this year: Shiv Sena

JAMMU: Shiv Sena on Tuesday decided not to celebrate Diwali this year.
Addressing the press conference here today, State President of Shiv Sena Dimpy Kohli said, “our soldiers are dying on borders on daily basis and thousands of villagers near LoC and IB are suffering because of firing by Pakistan.”
He said that whole of the countrymen are suffering because of wrong policies of NDA Government in the centre adding that that NDA Govt. in the centre and BJP-PDP Govt. in the State is not doing its duty in the right way.
He said Shiv Sena stands with the security forces who are guarding the borders of country round the clock and decided not to celebrate Diwali this year.
He made an appeal to all Shiv Sainiks around the State not to celebrate Diwali this year and help all those who are migrated from their homes and living life of migrants due to cross border firing.
He also urged locals to help all those who have migrated from their homes and living life of migrants rather to spend money on crackers .
Others present on the occasion were Rakesh Gupta Chairman and Manish Sawhney General Secretary.
