MAHORE: Sr. Leader National Conference and MLA Gulab Garh Abdul Gani Malik has expressed shock and grief over the loss of lives and property in the State particularly in Gool Gulab Garh area due to heavy rains and floods.
Malik said that a number of persons have died and thousands of families rendered houseless due landslides.
He further said that thousands of families are stranded in the higher reaches of Peer Panchal Range like Kousarnag , Mangnarh , Zajimarg , Nikkan , Ichhni , Nunkhal , Khore , Chhawni and other such places. Life has become difficult due to non availability of ration and warm clothing in these places.
Demanding that early relief and rehabilitation to the affected families, he impressed upon the administration to be available to the affected people in this critical time.
He has further demanded availablity of Ration and other essential commodities in all the villages.
Meanwhile Senior Leader Congress ( Ramban ), Shakeel Singh on Saturday conducted an extensive tour of flood hit areas of Ramban Chenab including Chanderkote, Karol, Seri, Conbag, Dharamkund, Suhaad etc. along with (Sarpanch of Naitra) Choudhary Mohd. Farooq, (Judicial Chairman of Parnote) Shabbir Ahmed Sheikh and Senior Leader Tariq Saleem.
At Gandhri, Kabbi, Ghari, Kumait, Ghanote, Pathyal, Digdol assessed damage to Road connectivity. Landsliding occurs in various areas. Flood affects the electricity, water supply, and totally damaged the communication system. Hundreds of Families suffered due to heavy rainfall in Ramban area. There is no actual number of suffered families in the far flung areas as there is no communication system.
