5 families rehabilitated in Thathri; many livestock die

THATHRI: At least five families of 18 members in small landslide-affected Painalla village have been rehabilitated by the administration of Sub-Division Thathri and Tehsil Drabshalla.
One of the villager from village Painalla telephonically informed MLA Inderwal, Ghulam Mohammad Saroori that due to continuous rainfall there is a threat of landslide and flood in the area. Taking note of the people’s problems Saroori telephonically directed the Tehsildar Thathri Mohsin Ali, Tehsildar Drabshallah Niaz Ahmed Wani and SHO Drabshalla to immediately launch the rescue operation in Painalla.
Later police in collaboration with civil administration launched rescue operation at Painalla and five families having 18 members have been shifted to Dak Bungalow Thathri on the direction of G.M Saroori. Ration and other necessary amenities have been provided to the sufferers by CAPD Thathri. Saroori assured all possible help to the victims of this natural disaster.
