KC International hosts inter-school swimming competition


JAMMU: KC International School won the Inter School Swimming Competition trophy while a runner up trophy was grabbed by Delhi Public School and third position taken by Banyan International School. The competition was hosted by KC International School on Tuesday in which number of reputed schools from all over Jammu participated.
The participants took part in the various events enthusiastically.
Near about 65 students participated in 22 categories in freestyle 100/50 meter, breast stroke, back stroke, medley x 50 meters, relay etc. in all age group categories.
All the events were played under under-15, under-14 and under-12 categories. The Principal, Dr. Ravi Bhushan declared the event open. General Secretary and Chairman Recognition and Affiliation Committee Indian Olympic Association, Dr. Ashutosh Sharma was the Chief Guest while Deputy Director Youth Service and Sports, J and K, Kanchan Bala was Guest of Honour on the occasion. Both appreciated the effort and the way events were organised. They lauded the performance of the participants and the school management and the principal for their active role in providing platform to perform such human actions and create magic. The principal also added that KCIS will always provide space to grow and achieve the targets in all sphere of life whether it is academics or co-curricular activities. Dr Bhushan also presented the vote of thanks.
