India maintain winning spree in 3rd AVC Women’s Challenge Cup, beat Uzbekistan 3-0

Thailand: Continuing their campaign on a winning note, the Indian senior volleyball team on Saturday beat Uzbekistan 3-0 in the ‘Princess Cup’ 3rd AVC Women’s Challenge Cup at Nakhon Pathom, Thailand.
India emerged 25-16, 25-13, 25-16 winners in their second league match of the tournament.
From the Indian side, Captain Nirmal, Blocker Soorya, setter Jini have played exceedingly well and never allowed Uzbekistan to take upper hand and ultimately clinched this straight win.
Earlier in its opening match, the Indian team trounced Singapore by 3-0 (25-16, 25-19, 25-08) sets.
Six countries — India, Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, Uzbekistan, Hong Kong and China– are participating in the championship that will conclude on June 30.
The Indian team’s next match is against Malaysia on Sunday.
Achyuta Samanta, President of the Volleyball Federation of India (VFI), and all office bearers congratulated the team for its continuous winning in the championship.
Meanwhile, Chief Patron Volleyball Association of J&K (VAJK), Raj Daluja, President, Sidharth Daluja, Chief Executive Officer Kuldeep Magotra and other office bearers congratulated the Indian women team while wishing them better performance in subsequent matches.
