HIRANAGAR: Former MLC and President District Congress Committee Kathua Subash Chander Gupta paid a visit to village Chellarian, Chachwal, Mangu Chak, Doolina Koolian, Tarnah Pla More, Rathua, Pansar, Manyari and Kadyala etc situated on zero line in district Kathua and Samba on Wednesday and interacted with the residents of these villages which are badly affected due to unprovoked firing by the Pakistan side resulting in migration from border areas.
Gupta said that residents of border are already suffering from lack of basic amenities and now this firing / shelling from Pakistan side has added to their miseries. He also expressed grief and sympathy over the loss of life and property due to firing and shelling from across the border.
Gupta also distributed relief material provided by Ghulam Nabi Azad former Chief Minister and Leader of the Opposition in Rajya Sabha.
Gupta also paid a visit to Government Medical College Jammu for inquiring about the well being of the persons injured due to Pakistani shelling at village Chellarian.
Prominent among those who accompanied Gupta include Chuni Lal, Rattan Chand Karlotra, Tara Chand Bhagat, Yugal Kishore Bali, Shashi Pal Sarpanch, Bharat Indu Sarpanch, Chander Shekhar Sarpanch, Bishan Dass Sangra Sarpanch , Raj Kumar, Sansar Singh, Kamal Gupta, Harbajan Singh Saini, Surinder Kumar and Bishan Singh Jasrotia.
