Ghobi Club Jhulas clinches Volleyball title

POONCH: Ghobi Volleyball Club defeated Khanaiter Club 3-1 (21-25, 25-23, 25-22, 27-25) to clinch the Nangi Tekri Dogra Battalion Volleyball Championship.
Sagir and Ashfaq played extraordinary game for the winning team. The event was organised by Nangi Tekri Dogra Battalion in collaboration with Sunil Kumar Sangeet Kumar and sons at Jhulas ground, here.
Retired Captain Pritam Singh, a war warrior of 1971 Indo-Pak war, was the Chief Guest while Colonel Dubey was the Guest of Honour.
Speaking to the gathering, the Chief Guest asked the youth to fallow the footsteps of Saqlain Tariq, International volleyball player from district Poonch.
He also appreciated the efforts of Mohd Tariq, chairman Shaheed DySP Manjit Singh Memorial Volleyball Club for the promotion of the game of Volleyball and involving youth in sports.
Among others present were Mohd Aziz, Incharge Police Post Jhulas; Javid Ahmed (MD), Maroof Ahmed, Ramiz Tariq, Ayaz Ahmad Madni and Farhat Jhangir and Sarpanchs of the adjoining areas.
