DDC visits flood affected areas

DODA: To assess the damages caused by the incessant rains and flash floods in the district and to supervise the relief, rescue and restoration work, District Development Commissioner Doda Shyam Vinod Meena on Wednesday visited different parts of Bhadarwah.
During the visit, DDC took stock of damages caused by the flash floods at Tourist Resort Gatha Bhadarwah, Bheja, Thanalla and Malothi areas of the region. DDC directed all the concerned officers to assess the losses and submit a report immediately for providing relief to the affected people.
Meena also inspected the restoration work on different roads connecting the headquarters and XEN R&B Bhadarwah was given instructions regarding the immediate restoration of road connectivity.
He also interacted with affected families at various locations and assured them that all possible help and assistance will be provided to them.
DDC also impressed upon the officers of Irrigation and Flood Control Department to restore damaged irrigation canals as early as possible so that the farmers of the region may not face any problems.
