Champions Academy Chandigarh lifts U-17 Christmas Cricket Championship

JAMMU: Champions Cricket Academy defeated Jammu Vishal Cricket club by eight wickets and lifted Under-17 Christmas Cricket Championship played at Landran Cricket Ground (Kharar) Mohali in Chandigarh.
As per report reaching here on Thursday, Champions Cricket Academy Chandigarh won the toss and elected to field first.
Jammu Vishal Cricket Club, batting first, scored 210 runs for the loss of ten wickets in the stipulated 40 overs.
Rohan Gill was the top scorer with 54 runs while Achintiya Khajuria and Jahanveer Singh contributed 37 and 30 runs respectively to the total.
For Champions Academy, Jorawar grabbed four wickets, Sahil Thakur took three wickets, Anish Khan claimed two wickets and Daksh scalped one.
In reply, Champions Cricket Academy Chandigarh chased the target in 29.2 overs by losing two wickets. Aryan Verma played a brilliant match winning inning of 109 runs while Jujhar also played well and made 82 runs. For bowling side, Sachin and Jahanveer took one wicket each. Aryan Verma was declared as Man of the Match in final.
From Vishal Club Jammu Rohan Gill was declared Best Batsman, Sarvan Gupta Best Keeper, Arman Sharma Best Fielder and Achintiya Khajuria declared Man of the Series.
Jammu Vishal Cricket Club was accompanied with Avinash Uttam as Mentor and Ankush Sharma as Coach.
