RAJOURI: Police on Tuesday initiated inquest proceedings (investigation) into the mysterious death of an aged man whose body was recovered near District Hospital Rajouri.
As per the details, Police Station Rajouri received a written complaint from Mohd Razaq son of Lal Din resident of ward No 2 Kheora regarding missing of his uncle namely Khadam Hussan son of Mussa Khan resident of W No 3.
In the meanwhile, today morning, Police received an information that one dead body is lying on back side of Kheora crossing.
On information, Police party from PS Rajouri led by Insp Tahir Khan SHO Rajouri under the supervision of Dy SP Hqrs Rajouri Jaswant Singh and overall supervision of Mohd Yousuf Adl SP Rajouri visited on spot and the deceased was identified as missing man Khadam Hussain.
The scene of occurrence was examined and spot investigation was completed and after completion of medico-legal formalities, the body was later on handed over to legal heirs for last rites.
Police Station Rajouri has initiated Inquest Proceeding under section 174 CrPC and investigating the matter.
A team headed by DySP HQrs Jaswant Singh and SHO Tahir Yousuf is investigating the incident whereas AdSP Rajouri Mohd Yusuf has directed the team to ensue completion of inquest at the earliest
