71st B N Mullik Memorial AIPF enters Day 6

SRINAGAR: The 6th day of the ongoing 71st B.N. Mullik Memorial All India Police Football Championship 2023 were played in great enthusiasm and high sprit.
Eleven matches including eight pre-quarter-final matches among the men and three women league matches were played on the sixth day of the ongoing 71st B.N. Mullik Memorial All India Police Football Championship 2023 at three different venues, here on Friday.
In pre-quarter finals of men played at Synthetic Turf Ground, host J&K Police team lost to CISF by four goals to nil; Assam Rifles beat Sikkim Police won by four goals to nil; Punjab Police defeated RPF by four goals to nil; and Mizoram Police trounced Assam Police by two goals to nil. All the winner teams qualified for quarter finals.
In pre-quarter finals played at Kashmir University, CRPF won the knock-out game against Tamil Nadu Police by three goals to nil; Kerala Police knocked out the Maharashtra through Penalty Shootout and won the game by four goals to two; Jharkhand Police defeated BSF by three goals to nil.
Moreover, at Bakshi Stadium, Rajasthan Police trounced West Bengal Police by five goals to four via tie breaker in pre-quarter final match of men’s and qualified for the Quarter Final. In league matches of women teams played at same ground, SSB beat Manipur Police by three goals to nil; CRPF Women trounced Jharkhand Police Women by seven goals to nil; host J&K Police women team failed to defend their team and lost the game to Odisha Police women by 16 goals to nil and knocked out from the championship.
