5 Jammu Clubs apply for AIFF Accreditation

JAMMU: Finding the All India Football Federation (AIFF) in a mood to infuse fresh blood in the otherwise troublesome J&K football, as many as five clubs from Jammu Division have applied for AIFF Academy Accreditation Programme.
“With today being the deadline, five clubs from Jammu Division have registered their academies for AIFF Academy Accreditation Program to participate in Elite Youth Leagues,” informed sources said.
These clubs are Param FC, Young Rovers FC and DFA Kathua, Udhampur City FC and Pegasus FC. “While three clubs of Param FC, Young Rovers and DFA Kathua have registered for the Basic Plan, other two Udhampur City FC and Pegasus FC have processed their application for Advance Plan,” the sources added.
Important to mention here that as and when their applications get the final approval in the hands of AIFF, the Udhampur City FC shall provide platform to Udhampur players while Young Rovers FC and Pegasus FC shall give new hopes to those Jammu youngsters. On the other hand, the DFA Kathua and Param FC shall scout for raw talents from Samba and Kathua districts.
On getting the approval, these academies shall engage at least 240 young players of age groups U-13, U-15 and U-17 in active coaching programs during next few months to prepare for youth leagues.
It has been reliably learned that applications of all these clubs have been approved by AIFF and they were right now undergoing the process of fulfilment of required criteria after which they will be assessed by AIFF approved member to verify their documentations and other mandatory requirements.
