130 pouches of liquor seized in Chatha; bootlegger held

JAMMU: Police on Thursday arrested a bootlegger and seized 130 pouches (180 ml each) of country made liquor from his possession.
The accused has been identified as Rinku Kumar son of Garu Ram resident of Hakkal Chatha.
The police team led by In-charge Police Post Chatha laid a Naka at Hakkal Morh, Chatha and intercepted one pedestrian Rinku Kumar. On search of his belongings, the police party recovered 130 pouches of J and K Excise liquor which he was carrying illegally. The arrest was made by SHO Satwari Inspector Kulbir Singh Choudhary and ICPP Chatha SI Vijay Thakur under the supervision of DySP SDPO Gandhi Nagar, SP South Rahul Malik and SSP Jammu Uttam Chand.
A case was registered under FIR No 169/2014 section 48 A Excise Act in Police Station Satwari.
