BHADARWAH: Over 13 persons were injured when a bus skidded off the road and fell into a deep gorge near Kanota (Baggar) Doda, on Doda- Jammu National Highway. This was informed by SHO Assar Sanjeev Kumar here on Friday.
The ill-fated vehicle bearing registration No JK02-AV-5687 was on its way to Bhadarwah from Jammu when the accident took place. Reports said the driver lost control while negotiating a sharp curve near Kanota (Baggar) on Doda- Jammu National Highway. Before the police reached the spot, locals and the Road Opening Party (ROP) of the army swung into rescue operations and shifted all injured to Accidental Hospital Batote.
The injured have been identified as Rohan Gupta, son of Pawan Kumar Gupta, resident of Link Road Bhadarwah, Haresh Bashir Bagwan son of Shabir Ahmed Bagwan, resident of Quilla Mohalla Bhadarwah, Mukhtiar Singh son of Shanker Singh resident of Mandola Doda, Anita wife of Late Jeewan Raj resident of Kondra Bhadarwah, Vikrant Sharma son of Daya Krishan Sharma resident of Vasak Dhara Bhadarwah, Sawarita Sharma wife of Vikrant Sharma resident of Vasak Dhara Bhadarwah, Arti wife of Dheeraj Sharma resident of Shan Mohalla Kishtwar, Dheeraj Singh son of Santosh Kumar resident of Shan Mohalla Kishtwar, Darvi daughter of Dheeraj Singh resident of Shan Mohalla Kishtwar, Balwant Singh son of Baj Nath resident of Dandi Bhadarwah, Mohammad Sadiq son of Dilwar resident of Thanala Bhadarwah, Mohinder Singh son of Rasal Singh resident of Lander Panchari Udhampur and Feroz Din Mir son of Din Mohammad Mir resident of Jathi Assar.
Six of the injured were later referred to GMC Jammu.
