DUBAI: Amit Sharma, a senior administrator of Government of Jammu and Kashmir, who has also handled Higher and Technical Education Department in the past, addressed 11th World Education Summit (WES) held at Dubai in which delegates from all across the globe participated for two days.
Sharma participated in a very important session relating to usage of Human Resources with Technology to enhance educational standards in the world.
Sharma spoke on nurturing early childhood, encouraging establishment of pre-schools with innovation, investment and collaboration. He talked about adopting practical approach towards nurturing young buds using innovative techniques including developing natural senses to learn in formative years.
Other speakers who joined panel discussion with him include Nyla Khan, Associate Director, Innovation and Development, Kids World Nursery LLC, Dubai; Krishna Nambiar, Director, Aptech Montana International Preschool, India; Zahra Hamirani, CEO, The Blossom Nursery, Dubai and Priya Krishnan, CEO Founding Years Learning Foundation, India.
While speaking, Amit Sharma shared lot of contemporary examples including lack of vision amongst kids which leads to unfortunate incidents like Blue Whale Game Suicidal Syndrome amongst youngsters, Ryan International School killing episode, etc. He asked the gathering to adopt basic values like giving time to kids, understanding their requirements, making them understand the world in a simple manner and developing a vision towards proactive learning and contributions in future. The audience gave a patient hearing and standing ovation at the conclusion of his speech.
The organisers honoured Amit Sharma and other speakers in the panel discussion for their valuable contributions during ongoing World Education Summit.
Amit also shared dice with Dr Naji Al Mahdi, Chief, Qualifications and Awards in Dubai, Knowledge and Human Development Authority (KHDA) who was one of the main organisers of this historical International Summit. He assured that the relentless efforts shall continue to improve standards of education in India with new approaches learnt in World Education Summit.
