JAMMU: A delegation of All Jammu Kashmir and Ladakh Teachers Federation (AJKLTF) affiliated with Akhil Bhartiya Rashtriya Shaikshik Mahasangh (ABRSM) under the chairmanship of Rattan Sharma State General Secretary called on the Director School Education Jammu. The AJKLTF submitted a Charter of demands and discussed various burning issues of teaching fraternity.
The major issue raised during the meeting was recent reliving of in-service teachers from undergoing B.Ed courses at Govt College of Education Canal Road Jammu. The delegation alleged that the Govt on one hand focusses on training of untrained teachers but the relieving of in-service teachers by Principal of college is contradictory. AJKLTF demanded early redressel of issue and resumption of all in-service teachers relieved from B.Ed training. The second burning issue highlighted by AJKLTF delegation was non-conduct of DPC in different non-gazetted cadres. The members expressed dismay over improper seniority lists of PG Teachers/Masters in different disciplines issued by the Education Deptt. They also demanded pending salary arrears /DA arrears of Grade-2 /Grade-3 teachers at the earliest.
The DSE Jammu gave them a patient hearing and assured for taking up all highlighted issued with concerned authorities for early resolution.
The delegation comprised of Rattan Sharma State General Secretary, Radha Krishan State Media Secretary, Gurdeep Kumar Singh Incharge Kathua-Samba, Mohan Singh Parihar District President Doda, Romit Kumar and Arvind Kumar.
