Airfare: DB grants two weeks’ time to file additional affidavit

JAMMU: In a Public Interest Litigation (PIL) filed by Y.V Sharma, former President Chamber of Commerce and Baldev Singh Advocate against the exorbitant airfare charged by airlines leading to hardships for travelers sought direction in capping the minimum as well as maximum airfare charged.
A Division Bench of State High Court comprising Chief Justice M.M Kumar and Justice Tashi Rabstan observed that since the additional affidavits have not been filed by the respondents asked them to do so within two weeks and if the affidavits are not filed within the time given, then the matter shall be taken-up and adverse inference in accordance with law shall be drawn.
