JAMMU: AIIMS Jammu announces that Dr. Rashid Anjum, Associate Professor, Department of Orthopedics, has been selected as the sole representative from India for the prestigious Asia Pacific Orthopaedic Association (APOA) Young Ambassador Program.
Dr. Anjum will represent India at the 24th APOA Annual Congress in 2025, set to take place in Cairns, Australia, alongside fifteen of the most promising young surgeons from across the Asia Pacific region.
This remarkable achievement recognizes Dr. Anjum’s excellence and dedication to advancing orthopedic surgery. The APOA Young Ambassador Program is a highly competitive platform that identifies future leaders in the field, providing them with opportunities to showcase their work, engage in international collaborations, and contribute to innovations in orthopedic care. This year’s selection process was highly competitive, reflecting the growing recognition of academic and educational opportunities for young surgeons across the region.
As a Young Ambassador, Dr. Anjum will have the unique opportunity to present his work during the ‘Young Ambassador Sessions’ and engage in high-level discussions with leading surgeons from around the world. He will also have hospital visitations in Australia and attend exclusive events such as the President’s Dinner and other scientific events, where he will receive a certificate of recognition for his achievements.
The program offers valuable opportunities, including hospital visits, podium presentations, and participation in collaborative discussions with fellow surgeons from the Asia Pacific region.
