POONCH: Department of Agriculture and Farmer’s Welfare District Poonch organised Kisan Goshti at Panchyat Ghar Mangnar-Lower, in which nearly 50 farmers participated.
Chief Agriculture Officer Poonch Arvind Baru presided over the programme while Asst. Soil Chemist Poonch Bushan Kumar, Harvinder Singh SMS-SDL, Davinder Singh AEO Jhullas, Sukhdev Raj Verma Sarpanch Mangnar-Lower , Darminder Singh AEA Mangnar explained the different schemes for the welfare of farmers by the government. Farmers took keen interest in the initiative of department and appreciated the role of field functionaries for the betterment of the farming community. The main objective of the Kisan Goshti was to provide the awareness among the farmers to associate with the different schemes of Agriculture Department for the welfare of farming community and also to follow the expert advice of the officers/officials if the Agriculture Department and do Agriculture as per package and practices.
