JAMMU: Senior Advocate J and K High Court S.K Raina, a staunch disciple of Lord Shiva paid obeisance here at Aapshambhu Mandir Roopnagar. He performed special Puja on the auspicious occasion of Maha Shivratri to seek the blessings of Mahadev. Advocate Raina is an ardent worshiper of Bholenath and has been visiting Aapshambhu Mandir at Roopnagar without any break for the last more than thirty years. For the last so many years he has been continuously performing Puja at Aapshambhu temple on Sunday nights braving the vagaries of weather and situational odds. Advocate Raina is originally from Village Nagrota situated near Udhampur city. His grandfather Late Pt Thakur Dutt Raina, a saint, a social worker, a philosopher and a great astrologer who lead a very simple life. He helped people through his noble character and Philanthropic tendencies. He was a preacher and use to teach Sanskrit to his disciples. Advocate Raina’s father Late Pt Jagan Nath Shastri has been a great thinker, an astrologer, a philosopher and a social worker par excellence who earned a great name and fame in the society. He was the founder member of Brahmin Sabha. He rendered selfless service to the society by spreading knowledge among the masses. Advocate Raina subtly owe his success to his ancestors and revered Guru Dev Shri Shri Vishvatama Babra Ji Maharaj.
